I just finished reading this beautiful story and I am completely blown away at how good it was and how it touched me in ways that surprised me. I have never read Wuthering Heights, but thanks to Mrs. Lindner and her amazing retailing of it I will be reading it next. I am finding it hard to express how much this story touched me maybe it's because I am a sucker for the underdog getting a chance in life and love. I wanted these characters to have a piece of the goodness that the world and life has to offer. Man Mrs. Lindner knows how to squeeze my heart and leave it battered and bruised, yet hopeful. I loved all these characters, the story and the writing, it moved me, touched me and left me wanting for more. One of my very favorite books ever.

Such a great read that I cannot put it down. Great storyline and I am so vested in the characters! Just love the authors style of writing and slipping back and forth between time lines. Only downside is having to close my kindle lid when I know I HAVE to get some sleep for tomorrow.
The retelling of Wuthering Heights was really great. I loved the use of the underground music scene in New York.
One of those books that you just can't put down.
3.5 stars. I'm sad and I'm happy. But I'm really sad. )
I was kind of disappointed. I didn't expect it to be as modern as it was.
I'm a sucker for Wuthering Heights ANYTHING. And I loved this retelling of one of my favorite stories. I enjoyed the alternating points of view and "Heathcliff" was more likable. Even Catherine is more sympathetic. Overall enjoyable read.
April Lindner has a wonderful way with words and weaves a story that you just don't want to put down. If you've never read Wuthering Heights you will be inspired to after reading the modern adaptation of Catherine. Likewise, I can't recommend enough that you also read her first book "Jane" which is a modern adaptation of the classic Jane Eyre. These books are classified for young adults but you can never be too old to enjoy these books!
